Plasma Cutter Decommissioning – Bassendean

Industrial decommissioning and oxy-cutting of a large CNC plasma cutting machine to facilitate safe removal and transport.

Scope of works included:

• Isolation and decommissioning of the plasma cutting system.
• Oxy-cutting of the machine bed into transportable sections.
• Removal of heavy steel components using lifting equipment.
• Segregation and recycling of ferrous steel.
• Site clean-up and preparation for future operations.

Outcome:

The decommissioning was completed safely and efficiently, allowing the equipment to be removed with minimal disruption to the facility. The work area was left clean, clear, and ready for its next stage of use, while recyclable steel was recovered to maximise value and minimise waste.
